Owen Pell were tasked with the excavation and installation of two new SUDS (sustainable urban drainage system) Attenuation Tanks to handle the storm water run-off from the new industrial estate located on the Southern Magazine of Rotherwas Industrial Estate.

Some 17,000 tonnes of earth were removed and stockpiled on site or relocated to other parts of the Enterprise Zone and reused as fill material. The whole area was then reinstated with the excavated material to match the surrounding areas.

Over 19,000

Specialist Drainage Cells Installed

Over 19,000 specialist Drainage Cells were then installed to form the new Attenuation tanks and along with all the associated large diameter drainage pipework and new Pumping station.
