Works began in January 2019 to restore and convert three listed barns into luxury holiday accommodation. The works entailed careful repairs to the existing listed buildings using lime mortar to sympathetically restore the stone walling, locally sourced green oak timbers were used to replace structural members on the buildings.
Landscaping works were also completed by Owen Pell which included an Eco Rockery and traditional orchard to improve the biodiversity of the development. Owen Pell also carried out new connections to a Bio disc treatment plant, BT phonelines, water and an upgraded electricity supply, these works were carefully and safely completed as the site is adjacent to a scheduled ancient monument and close liaison with the local authority’s conservation officer was paramount.

The old buildings were then upgraded with large amounts of insulation and high efficiency boilers, along with high quality kitchens and ensuite bathrooms under the direction of an interior designer.
