Owen Pell were tasked with the replacement of a large section of paving and the renewal of the associated drainage to Commercial road in the centre of Hereford. The existing uneven Brick paving was excavated and replaced with new natural stone paving slabs with granite setts and granite kerbs.
The works were phased and carried out in sections to ensure that access to the many local shops and businesses were not affected,the close co-ordination between Owen pell, Balfour Beatty and adjacent shops was essential throughout this project. Owen Pell also had to deal with working in and around the numerous services already in situ along this street. The works were completed on time and within budget.

Drainage
New drainage was laid to replace the existing gullies and Manholes along with new street furniture and tree pits.
